L’ultima NEWS caricata su www.robinfoa.it il 28 Gennaio 2022 era dedicata a Kiev, capitale dell’Ucraina, alla luce degli eventi e delle preoccupazioni che stavano avvenendo proprio in quei giorni. Chiudevo confidando che i venti di guerra potessero rientrare. Purtroppo, come abbiamo tragicamente visto, non è andata così e l’Ucraina è stata invasa militarmente dalla Russia. Ogni giorno che passa è una tragedia crescente per il popolo ucraino ed è assai arduo prevedere cosa potrà ancora succedere.

In un momento così drammatico che riporta l’Europa a giorni che noi non abbiamo direttamente vissuto e che non avremmo immaginato di vedere, mi sembra nondimeno doveroso dedicare questa NEWS proprio alla Russia che di fatto ha causato questa guerra.

Credo sia giusto ricordare in questi giorni di grande preoccupazione per il nostro futuro, legato a posizioni di miope autoritarismo a causa di un dittatore senza scrupoli, quanto la Russia ha dato nei secoli all’umanità in termini di arte, cultura, letteratura, musica, balletto e molto altro ancora, e il ruolo determinante che ha avuto per farci uscire dalla seconda guerra mondiale e quindi per la libertà e la democrazia in Europa.

I closed hoping that the winds of war would end. Unfortunately, as we have tragically seen, this did not happen and Ukraine has been militarily invaded by Russia. Each passing day is a growing tragedy for the Ukrainian people and it is very difficult to predict what will still happen.

In such a dramatic moment that brings Europe back to days that we did not directly experience and that we would not have imagined seeing, I thought it was nonetheless right to dedicate this NEWS to the very Russia that actually caused this war.

I think it is fair to remember in these days of great worries for our future, linked to positions of myopic authoritarianism due to an unscrupulous dictator, how much Russia has given to humanity over the centuries in terms of art, culture, literature, music, ballet and much more, and the decisive role it played in getting us out of the Second World War and therefore for the freedom and democracy in Europe.

La última NEWS subida a www.robinfoa.it el 28 de enero de 2022 estuvo dedicada a Kiev, la capital de Ucrania, a la luz de los acontecimientos y preocupaciones que estaban ocurriendo en esos días. Cerré confiando en que se disiparian los vientos de guerra. Desafortunadamente, como hemos visto trágicamente, esto no sucedió y Ucrania fue invadida militarmente por Rusia. Cada día que pasa es una tragedia creciente para el pueblo ucraniano y es muy difícil predecir lo que aún sucederá.

En un momento tan dramático que lleva a Europa a días que no vivimos directamente y que no hubiéramos imaginado ver, parece correcto dedicar esta NEWS justamente a Rusia que es de hecho quien provocó la guerra.

Creo que también es justo recordar en estos días de gran preocupación por nuestro futuro, ligados a posiciones de autoritarismo miope por culpa de un dictador sin escrúpulos, cuánto ha dado Rusia a la humanidad a lo largo de los siglos en cuanto a arte, cultura, literatura, música, ballet y mucho más, así como el papel decisivo que desempeñó para sacarnos de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y por tanto a favor de la libertad y la democracia en Europa.

Dobbiamo sperare che il popolo russo trovi la forza di ribellarsi a questo manifesto sopruso, sapendo che tanti in Russia sono contrari a questa guerra. Sarebbe una potente arma contro il comportamento scellerato di Putin!

Negli anni sono stato in Russia molte volte. Soprattutto per lavoro, ma ho approfittato anche per apprezzare le tante meraviglie di quel grande paese che fa parte della nostra storia. E come non ricordare il ruolo che l’occidente ha avuto per aiutare la Russia al tempo del disastro di Chernobyl (non lontana da Kiev) dell’aprile 1986, prima che l’Ucraina diventasse indipendente nel 1991.

E’ molto triste vedere come un regime autoritario possa seppellire tanta storia, cultura e interazione tra popoli.

I have been to Russia many times over the years. Especially for work, but I also took the opportunity to appreciate the many wonders of that great country that is part of our history. And how can we forget the role the West played in helping Russia at the time of the Chernobyl disaster (not far from Kiev) in April 1986, before Ukraine became independent in 1991.

It is very sad to see how an authoritarian regime can bury so much history, culture and interaction between peoples.

Debemos esperar que el pueblo ruso encuentre la fuerza para rebelarse contra este abuso manifiesto, sabiendo que muchos en Rusia están en contra de esta guerra. ¡Sería un arma poderosa contra el comportamiento nefasto de Putin!

He estado en Rusia muchas veces a lo largo de los años. Sobre todo por trabajo, pero también aproveché para apreciar las tantas maravillas de ese gran país que forma parte de nuestra historia. Y cómo podemos olvidar el papel que desempeñó Occidente para ayudar a Rusia en el momento del desastre de Chernobyl (no lejos de Kiev) en abril de 1986, antes de que Ucrania se independizara en 1991.
